If you have already completed some or all of these steps, congratulations!

Since important admission dates and events are approaching, we offer a few reminders.
Note: It is not too late to start an application. Contact the Admission Office for information.

• Applicant Information Form, Fee, and Photo: Please file as soon as possible, before other documents. Photos for online applicants can be sent by standard mail or email to admission@athenian.org. 
• Entrance Examination (required of all applicants):  All scores must be received by February 15 to guarantee consideration in the first group of applicants. See our website for more information, http://www.athenian.org.
  • § Domestic Upper School applicants can take the ISEE or SSAT.
  • § Middle School applicants will take the ISEE. 
  • § International applicants must demonstrate intermediate level English with an approved examination: TOEFL, IELTS, or SLEP.
• Visit Classes (required of all applicants within reasonable travel distance): Call Athenian to schedule your visit as soon as possible.  In the Upper School, contact Vickey Nemanich  (925.362.7223), and in the Middle School, contact Patti Martens (925.362.7239).
• Financial Aid Application: Information and the financial aid application are available through our website in the Admission section. For priority consideration, Financial Aid applications must be completed and submitted by January 17, 2013. Tax returns for 2012 are due by February 15, 2013. (While financial aid grants will be made without 2012 tax returns, Athenian reserves the right to revise awards based on tax return information.)
• Open Houses: Below is information about the year’s final open houses. These events are strongly encouraged but optional. Because the program follows a specific schedule, we ask that you arrive before the 1:00 p.m. start time. All family members are welcome.  To attend, call the school’s receptionist at 925.837.5375.

Saturday, January 12 (1:00 to 3:45 p.m.): Middle School Open House — Learn about Athenian from the Head of School, the Middle School Head, faculty, students and Admission staff.

Sunday, January 13 (1:00 to 4:00 p.m.): Upper School Open House — Learn about Athenian from the Head of School, the Upper School Head, faculty, students and Admission staff.
